Impact serves charities, donors, and the larger community. Based in Fargo, North Dakota, it’s designed to be a vehicle for charity leaders to grow, innovate, and collaborate through ongoing coaching, training, and resource development. Its ultimate goal is to help individuals and organizations unleash their greatest potential to serve. Impact was formed in 2004 through the innovative partnership of Impact Foundation, Dakota Medical Foundation, and the Alex Stern Family Foundation, which saw a pressing need for charities to substantially grow their capabilities to impact health and quality of life. Impact also serves as a co-host and fundraising guide for Giving Hearts Day, one of the first and longest-running giving days in the United States. Since 2008, Giving Hearts Day has helped charities raise more than $138 million to improve health and quality of life across North Dakota and northwest Minnesota.
